Ronnie Coleman is a gifted musician who sings and plays percussion, drums, piano, keyboards, organ, and bass. His music cuts across genres and cultures, but he specializes in contemporary R&B. He attended college on a full scholarship in jazz and symphonic music and while still in college worked as a session musician for various artists. Ronnie has written and released numerous songs of his own, including his “Bayou City Funk” hit and “Funky Monkey” crowd pleaser. In addition to performing with his band MerlotMusic, Ronnie stays busy with several businesses: music production studio Rico J Entertainment, Coleman’s Catering, and Merlot Barber Shop. Ronnie was honored by Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner with a proclamation and “Ronnie Coleman Jr. Day” for his humanitarian efforts during Hurricane Harvey, including free haircuts for the homeless at George R. Brown Convention Center. Prepare to be amazed at this multitalented musician!
