Reggae
Shareal Starr—Houstonian Shannon Palmer—sings a wide range of musical genres, including jazz, gospel, Afro beats, and others. But her passion is reggae, which she developed during time spent in Jamaica. Because reggae “just flows naturally” for her, she has often performed with other well-known reggae stars. In addition to singing, Shannon hosts a Podcast called “The Coffee in Your Cup” and is a motivational speaker, minister, human rights activist, and counselor. Since obtaining a Substance Abuse and Mental Health license, she has worked extensively with adults, juveniles, and families in school systems, state agencies, and the court system, and several years ago founded Arise Counseling Center of Dallas and Houston. Get ready to dance to the beat of reggae!
