Grand Opening of Dabney Kennedy Scout Pavilion
/On January 26th, the Willow Waterhole Greenspace Conservancy were honored to host Mr. Dabney Kennedy and many distinguished guests for the grand opening of the Dabney Kennedy Scout Pavilion. Dabney Kennedy himself cut the ribbon with his family, in the company of many friends from scouting, the Willow Waterhole Greenspace Conservancy, Harris County Precinct One and Flood Control, and the City of Houston Mayor's Offie. A crowd of over 125 attended, including Mayor Turner and Councilmember Castex-Tatum, who presented the proclamation of "Dabney Kennedy Day in the City of Houston", citing his community service and scouting accomplishments. Troop 99 at St Thomas More provided the color guard and escorted attendees from parking areas to the site. We are ever grateful to all who were a part of this great project!
