Willow Waterhole Survey
/Leader: Mary Ann Beauchemin, Senior Naturalist at the Nature Discovery Center. The Nature Discovery Center is partnering with Houston Audubon to conduct the Willow Waterhole survey
Despite cool temperatures and blustery wind, it was a pretty good day for birds at Willow Waterhole. A very respectable (for this time of year) 45 species were identified by the 21 sharp-eyed participants. The highlight was a small group of warblers that played hide and seek in the live oaks at our debriefing spot. Those who participated were Gaye Batiz, Jackie Davis, James Gil, Taylor Cutshall, Janna Johnson, JR Ridgway, Katherine Swarts, Barbara and Dick Massey, Liz Zivley, Brenda Rodriquez, Marissa and Steve Astrich, Michael, Honel, Melita Delgado, Ruth Roach, Mary Ann Beauchemin, John Schneider, Twilight Freedman, and Nicholas DeMaio. Special thanks to Barbara, Michael, and David who were our group leaders today.
