Kinder Foundation Gives Conservancy $2 Million with Promise to Match an Additional $2 Million

At Willow Waterhole Greenway’s October 2021 MusicFEST event, Mayor Sylvester Turner announced that Houston’s Kinder Foundation had committed a gift of up to $4 million to the Conservancy. Their initial commitment of $2 million comes with a pledge to match up to an additional $2 million in donations from others. Kinder Foundation, a family foundation established in 1997 by Rich and Nancy Kinder, provides transformational grants that impact urban green space, education, and quality of life.
