Sax soloist Eric Demmer describes his sound and his band’s as “funky blues with a mix of jazz and rock ‘n’ roll.” He combines a variety of influences with his own style that “comes from the heart and soul.” Eric began his musical journey as a natural-born performer, playing anywhere at any time and with anyone. In 1993 he began touring exclusively with the legendary Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, traveling the world for over 12 years until Gate’s death in 2005. Over the years, Eric opened for Eric Clapton and performed and recorded with BB King, the Allman Brothers, Carlos Santana, Joe Sample, Buddy, Guy, Dr. John, and many more superstars. He has preformed in the UK, Europe, Japan, China, and South Africa. MusicFEST is excited to start the afternoon with the Eric Demmer Band’s sax solos and funky energy!
